TEKNOFEST 2026 Excitement

Among the 4,633 projects submitted to the TEKNOFEST 2026 Agricultural Technologies Competition, second-year students from the Department of Food Engineering, Şevval Soysal and Yağmur Yalçın, advanced to the semi-final stage with their DripLoop Technologies project, developed under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Didar Üçüncüoğlu. The team ranked 70th in the preliminary evaluation with a score of 88.33. Following successful completion of the semi-final stage, the team qualified to present the project at the TEKNOFEST 2026 final, scheduled to take place in Şanlıurfa from September 30 to October 4, 2026. Prototype development for the final is continuing with 3D printing facilities provided by ÇAKÜ Technopark and technical support from the Çankırı Karatekin University TÜBİTAK National Technology Workshop. The team met with National Technology Workshop Coordinator Enes Eker to discuss the technical support available for prototype development and preparation for the final presentation.
