Dear Food Engineering Department Student Candidates,

Çankırı Karatekin University Food Engineering Department was established in 2010 as a department of the Faculty of Engineering and started to admit students in 2011. Our department operates in Uluyazı Campus. Our department is one of the leading departments of our faculty with TÜBİTAK and BAP projects completed by faculty members who are experienced in Food Engineering. TUBITAK and research projects are carried out with both undergraduate and graduate students.

Food Engineering laboratory applications and research studies are carried out in the laboratories of our department in the laboratory building. Our department, which is well equipped in terms of laboratory infrastructure and physical conditions, has Instrumental Analysis Laboratory, Food Chemistry Laboratory, Food Microbiology Laboratory, Sample Preparation Laboratory and Research Laboratories. With the help of applied courses and the devices used, our students graduate as highly knowledgeable about the laboratory. Our students graduate as knowledgeable about the sector with numerous technical trips to many food factories in our province and neighbouring provinces. Domestic internship opportunities are provided to the students of our department. Our students can participate in international education and internship activities with ERASMUS programme. Our graduates make us proud by finding job opportunities in the leading institutions of the state and private sector.
