History

Food Engineering Department was opened in the Faculty of Engineering in 2010 and started to recruit faculty members in 2011. With the application made to YÖK in 2012 with 4 assistant professors, 1 lecturer and 2 research assistants, it was decided to start education in 2012-2013 academic year. Currently, the academic staff of the department has1 Prof. Dr.,  5 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors. As of 2018-2019 academic year, graduate education program has started. With the 2023 Higher Education Executive Board (YÖK) Board Decision, our PhD programme in the Department of Food Engineering was opened.
