A significant part of the applications submitted to the Public Ombudsman Institution under the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye relates to education. Applications concerning private schools have also increased in recent years. In response, the Institution has initiated the preparation of a comprehensive report examining current challenges in the education system in Türkiye.
The report requires empirical data on equality of opportunity in education and on parents’ experiences and observations regarding educational processes. A nationwide parent survey has therefore been launched by the Public Ombudsman Institution.
High participation is essential for the accurate identification of problem areas and for the development of effective policy recommendations. Broad representation will strengthen the inclusiveness and credibility of the report.
Parents of students, university staff members who are parents, students who are parents, and all stakeholders who are directly or indirectly involved in educational processes are kindly invited to participate.
